      DODD-FRANK APPRAISAL ORDERING REQUIREMENTS

      On December 10, 2010, and the publication of the Regulatory Agencies "Final Interim Rule" appraisals can be ordered by lending institutions using the following criteria:

    • An employee of the lender not on the commissioned structure of the lender (Salaried employee with duties and functions as one who orders appraisals)
    • An Appraisal Management Company acting as a third party appraiser manager

    • An Appraisal Firm or Company acting as a third party appraiser manager

      All of the above must be independent of the transaction.
